Registration Open for AHIMA21 Virtual Conference, Sept. 20-22
Award-winning conference for health information professionals more accessible than ever
CHICAGO – June 7, 2021 – The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) announced today that registration is open for the AHIMA21 Virtual Conference, taking place Sept. 20-22, 2021. The theme of this year’s conference is “Transforming the Future of Health Data.”
“I’m excited health information professionals will once again be able to attend dynamic education sessions and earn CEUs from the comfort and safety of their homes,” said AHIMA CEO Wylecia Wiggs Harris, PhD, CAE. “There is so much to look forward to at AHIMA21, including content specific to emerging roles in the health information community, and discussion groups designed to foster community and continue conversations after the meeting concludes.”
AHIMA21 comes on the heels of AHIMA20, which was the Association’s first-ever virtual annual conference. AHIMA20 was recently named Virtual Event of the Year at the 2021 Medigy HITMC Awards. The award’s judges said last year’s conference “combined great keynotes and educational breakouts with a solid virtual conference technology to offer attendees a low glitch experience. Even the virtual exhibit hall was well put together.” This year’s edition will feature more than 40 education sessions on topics such as privacy and security, innovation, and clinical documentation integrity.
“While I miss seeing and engaging with health information professionals in person, I love that a virtual event allows professionals who may not have been able to travel to a conference to attend,” Harris said.
Harris said she believes this year’s meeting offers more benefits than ever, including an opportunity for attendees to:
