Born in Barcelona in 1971, Pol Perez Sust has a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in Health Economics and Health Management from the University of Barcelona and the Pompeu Fabra University.

In July 2019, he was appointed as IT Systems Director of ​​the Servei Catalá de la Salut (CatSalut), a position he currently holds together with the position of IT General Coordinator of the Departament de Salut de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonian Health Department).

In August 2016 he was apointed as IT General Coordinator of the Departament de Salut, a position he held together with the position of Manager of IT Systems of the ICS (Institut Català de la Salut).

From 2014 to 2016 he held the position of IT Systems Director of the ICS (Institut Català de la Salut).

Previously he held different positions as an IT Systems and Organization Director of the Northern Metropolitan Area of the Institut Català de la Salut (2012-2014), Deputy IT Systems, Organization and Planning Director of the Consorci Sanitari del Maresme (2008-2012) and Manager of the Studies Unit of the Institut Català de la Salut.
